Members Honored for Money Saving Project
Congratulations to WPEA members from the
Liquor Control Board, Julie Norton (left) and
Laura Plonski with Secretary of State Sam Reed, who were
recently honored by the Productivity Board with the Teamwork
Incentive Program (TIP) Award.

The Project they implemented eliminated the
nightly mailing of “Product Approval Reports” to each liquor
licensee by providing a convenient way to access reports
online. Due to the implementation of a law in 2005 paper
copies were no longer required. Before the law, each time a
product/label was approved or revised, a Product Approval
Report was generated and mailed to the licensee.
“The two worked very hard over the past year
and it was a great pleasure working with them,” said Shannon
Reuell, LCB’s Productivity Board Coordinator. “They did a
great job!”
As well as saving time and money by
eliminating unnecessary mailings, this Project also
contributes to the State’s sustainability program by
utilizing the Internet and eliminating the use of paper.
