WPEA
Member is Pride of Puyallup
WPEA member, Kami Robinson, from
Pierce College, was presented with the Winter 2007 Pride of
Puyallup Award at Puyallup’s All-College Meeting on April
13, 2007. Recognized for her attention to both people and
detail, Robinson accomplishes many diverse tasks including
scheduling candidates for job interviews, arranging meetings
and events, and supporting vital campus initiatives,
according to College President, Dr. Hasart.
“I can think of no one more deserving at this
time,” explained nominator Mari Kruger. “In all my
dealings with Kami, she has shown a level of skills,
abilities and knowledge of the College that sets a standard
for others at the highest level and goes above and beyond in
her work to help us be successful.”
Beyond the scope of her regular duties,
Robinson takes the time to support her classified staff
peers by serving on various committees and as a Job
Representative. She coordinates cards, recognitions and
celebrations for her coworkers in a way that honors them.
She embodies the values of the College and evokes the spirit
of this award in her work daily.
“She is so knowledgeable about how the
College works, who to call, and what to do and has really
become the “go to gal” at the Pierce College Puyallup
Campus,” commented coworker, Linda Gulbransen. “She
is willing to help anyone with anything, which often gets
her in trouble with her work load. And, on a personal level,
she is a giving and caring person; just ask the numerous
people who stop by for a chocolate pick-me-up each day.”
A photograph of the honoree and a plaque
engraved with her name will be displayed in the main hall of
the Gaspard Building at Pierce College Puyallup.
Congratulations, Kami!
