Why Membership Meetings by Districts?

As part of our affiliation with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, WPEA is required to conduct regular membership meetings to be held on an area or divisional basis within the jurisdiction of the local union.

Since WPEA’s jurisdiction is the entire State of Washington, the best way to hold regular membership meetings was to divide the state up into 11 areas or districts. Your attendance is necessary if you want to participate more with the governance of your union and to fully experience the importance of networking with WPEA/UFCW Local 365 members from your district.
