Ballots have been counted for WPEA’s General Government and Higher Education 2009 - 2011 Collective Bargaining Agreements.

There were 750 eligible ballots returned for General Government. The final count to ratify the General Government CBA was 624 – Yes, and 126 – No.  As a percentage of votes counted, 83% voted to accept the contract and 17% to reject it.

There were 554 eligible ballots returned for Higher Education.  The final count to ratify the Higher Education CBA was 537 – Yes, and 17 – No. As a percentage of votes counted, 97% accepted the contract and 3% rejected it. 

The contracts go into effect on July 1, 2009.
