Update on Washington state election

The 2016 election had a lot of twists but we're excited to see that Hilary Franz will be the new Commissioner of Public Lands. Here are the results for WPEA's endorsed candidates (and initiative):

• Superintendent of Public Instruction – Chris Reykdal won
• Initiative 1433 passed

• 2nd LD: House 1 – Amy Pivetta Hoffman lost
• 17th LD: Senate – Tim Probst lost
  House 1 – Sam Kim lost
• 22nd LD: Senate – Sam Hunt won
  House 1 – Laurie Dolan won
  House 2 – Beth Doglio won
• 28th LD: Senate – Marisa Peloquin lost
  House 1 – Mari Leavitt lost
  House 2 – Christine Kilduff won
• 43rd LD: House 1 – Nicole Macri won
• 49th LD: House 2 – Monica Stonier won

• Thurston County Commission: District 1 – Jim Cooper lost
  District 2 – Kelsey Hulse lost
• Clark County Council: District 3 – Tanisha Harris lost
  District 4 – Roman Battan lost
